Shanghai was preparing for the 2010 World Expo to be held from May 1st to October 31st expected to attract 70 million visitors. Workers were completing construction of pavilions representing different countries around the world at the Expo site in Shanghai, including the UK Pavilion's centerpiece Seed Cathedral structure. Demolition of old buildings in Shanghai was also occurring to spruce up the city for the World Expo.
