--Collaborative Lessons
 Mrs. D’Alessandro and Mrs. Krol’s
freshman World History classes have
been meeting in the LMC to participate
in Guided History Circle discussions of
The Alchemist. Student groups are
using Google Docs to record their
conversations and reflections on the
novel.

3. Monthly Highlights
--Events in the Media Center
 Mrs. Stout invited all English classes to
visit the LMC for a Book Tasting event
this month. Students selected from
menus like Dystopian Literature,
Realistic Fiction, Sports books, and Non-
Fiction. They previewed books on the
menu “to get a taste for the book” and
signed up to check them out!

4. Monthly Highlights
--Professional Development
• Tech Tuesday sessions continue in the Library Media
Center. Topics this month included using Google
Documents and Prezi. Mrs. Stout would like to see
more participation in this program, but understands the
time constraints many faculty members are dealing with
during the school week. She is open to suggestions for
making Tech Tuesdays convenient and meaningful for
all interested staff members.
