In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?<br />-6667585598000Our music video mainly used and developed forms and conventions of existing punk bands such as “Sex Pistol”, “Ramones”, “Clash” and “Joy Division”.  <br />317522987000<br />These print screens are performance shots usually sung by the lead singer of the band in our case this was Amy. The way she sang to the audience is similar to the lead sing of the “Sex Pistol” band and the poses and gestures used. The methods that we reconstructed representation and development for through the music video allowed the audience to engage with the lead singer as if they were viewing a live performance. The difference between the two performance shots is that “Sex Pistol” has actually included a live performance to an audience where as our performance shots were done in a greenroom. <br />Other conventions that we did use were the stereotypical punk representation of personas. Their characterizations are lazy, messy, drink & smoke a lot and the ruff look but usually they hang in a group of people that share the same interests. <br /> <br />087693500 This shot is from the film “control” released in 2007 which is a black and white biographical film and “Joy Division” directed by the same still images photographer Anton Corbijn. <br /> <br />In this shot of Nuchi’s room we linked it to the shots out of the film “control” the direct reference creates a relationship between the audience and the product. <br />We had also taken the idea of writing the words “NO LOVE LOST” instead of “HATE” on the back of our jackets from this film. In the film the words “HATE” written on the back of Ian Curtis’ back shows the contradiction and subverts emotions to how the song is meant to make you feel. We as a group just decided to embrace the song and tried to get the intended meaning across to our audience. <br />2721610806450008064500<br />This music video relates to the lyrics, it enhances and develops ideas such as the narrative that’s being told which makes it amplification. Technical aspects for example camera movement we had explored many angles and different ways in filming the same footage, and then decided which best suited the sequence when editing. We created a visually decentred montage of shots so something happened visually when the sound changed (speed) but also to make it impossible to understand on the first viewing and therefore the viewer would view it several times. Our music video makes the performance scenes seem more real because it continuously cut back and forth between the narratives. <br />

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?<br />-6667585598000Our music video mainly used and developed forms and conventions of existing punk bands such as “Sex Pistol”, “Ramones”, “Clash” and “Joy Division”. <br />317522987000<br />These print screens are performance shots usually sung by the lead singer of the band in our case this was Amy. The way she sang to the audience is similar to the lead sing of the “Sex Pistol” band and the poses and gestures used. The methods that we reconstructed representation and development for through the music video allowed the audience to engage with the lead singer as if they were viewing a live performance. The difference between the two performance shots is that “Sex Pistol” has actually included a live performance to an audience where as our performance shots were done in a greenroom. <br />Other conventions that we did use were the stereotypical punk representation of personas. Their characterizations are lazy, messy, drink & smoke a lot and the ruff look but usually they hang in a group of people that share the same interests. <br /> <br />087693500 This shot is from the film “control” released in 2007 which is a black and white biographical film and “Joy Division” directed by the same still images photographer Anton Corbijn. <br /> <br />In this shot of Nuchi’s room we linked it to the shots out of the film “control” the direct reference creates a relationship between the audience and the product. <br />We had also taken the idea of writing the words “NO LOVE LOST” instead of “HATE” on the back of our jackets from this film. In the film the words “HATE” written on the back of Ian Curtis’ back shows the contradiction and subverts emotions to how the song is meant to make you feel. We as a group just decided to embrace the song and tried to get the intended meaning across to our audience. <br />2721610806450008064500<br />This music video relates to the lyrics, it enhances and develops ideas such as the narrative that’s being told which makes it amplification. Technical aspects for example camera movement we had explored many angles and different ways in filming the same footage, and then decided which best suited the sequence when editing. We created a visually decentred montage of shots so something happened visually when the sound changed (speed) but also to make it impossible to understand on the first viewing and therefore the viewer would view it several times. Our music video makes the performance scenes seem more real because it continuously cut back and forth between the narratives. <br />
