1. Welcome to Day Five of the Beach Bachelor!
Last time, Vogue was asked to leave – meaning only Victoria, Lute
and Betria were left in the house with Forrest.
Also, Forrest decided to get to know the girls a bit better in the last
update, and discovered Lute is extremely enthusiastic, Betria is afraid
of werewolves, and Victoria sees life as a party. It also rained for most
of the morning.
Anyway! Day Five! ->
2. By hot tub time on the fifth day, there was enough people to fill a tub
with no spares.
However, that didn't mean all was well in the bachelor's tub. It seemed
some people really didn't appreciate Betria's nudity.
Eventually, though, they managed to move past that fact – mostly with
Betria insisting she was wearing a bathing suit, but it was invisible –
before Forrest decided to move the conversation towards the end of
the week.
3. “So I was thinking, what are your plans after this week is finished?”
Forrest asked, casually.
His question was met with three shrugs.
“Well...whoever is here on the last day, one of you three, how about I
take you back to where I come from, and introduce you to my
family...”
5. “It sounds like commitment...” Betria added, in a small voice.
“Oh no,” Forrest replied, “it's just fun. You know, like hanging out
together, but in the place I come from.”
6. “I have to agree with Betria,” Victoria said, “it does sound like
commitment.”
7. “I didn't think so, but if you guys don't want to meet my family-”
“No, Forrest, it is commitment!” Victoria insisted, “Meeting your family
is a huge deal!”
Both Betria and Lute fell into a silence as they watched Victoria yell at
Forrest.
“I'm sorry that you think that way, Victoria,” Forrest said, quietly, “now
let's change the subject.”
8. “Let's talk about dinner tonight,” Forrest decided, “I found a shirt and a
tie in my suitcase, and was planning on making tonight a smart-casual
evening. How about that?”
9. “That sounds really nice!” Lute answered, going through her wardrobe
in her mind.
“All dressed up for a salad in the dining room?” Victoria raised an
eyebrow.
10. “Don't worry about the food, Victoria, I'll cook something really nice for
the four of us.”
Victoria smiled, “Now I'm convinced this could be fun.”
11. “I'm pretty sure it could be fun!” Betria nodded at Lute, with an
encouragingly smile, “Also, I'm surprised Forrest even owns a tie.”
“Me too!” Lute agreed, returning the smile, “I just have to choose
something to wear now.”
12. “Of course I own a tie! Okay, so I don't own a full suit but...” Forrest
laughed, “I'm going to spend my afternoon transforming the dining
room, will you ladies be okay to entertain yourselves?”
With that decided, the four of them got out of the hot tub, and set
about enjoying their afternoon.
13. The three girls found themselves spending the late afternoon on the
shoreline, just enjoying it.
“I'm going to miss the beach when we go,” Lute said, “but I suppose it
would be nice to go home.”
“Or to Forrest's home,” Victoria added, “but that is commitment, isn't
it?”
“Who know?” Betria laughed, “Who cares? Let's just enjoy the end of
the week, right?”
“Time to go get ready, then.” Lute replied.
14. By the time darkness had fallen, the girls were ready to head down to
dinner.
“What do you think we're having for dinner?” Victoria asked, “He said it
wouldn't be salad.”
“I'm wondering, too.” Lute smiled.
Betria entered the hallway, “Are we ready?”
Shortly after Betria finished speaking, all of the lights in the house
went out.
15. “Girls! It's a power cut! But I've lit some candles down here, so you
should probably come down now.” Forrest called.
16. The girls stood in the dining room. Lute and Betria admired the table,
set with candles at either end, while Victoria stared straight at Forrest.
“You killed the power on purpose, didn't you?”
17. “You can see right through me, Victoria,” Forrest laughed, “but I
wanted an excuse to break out the candles. Anyway, did I mention you
are all looking seriously beautiful tonight?”
For emphasis, Forrest whistled, earning some giggles in reply.
18. “So what's for dinner, Forrest?” Lute asked, smiling.
“What do you three think of lobster?” Forrest asked. Victoria pulled a
face, “Well, I hate lobster, so we're having turkey. Any protests?”
The four of them got up and moved to the end of the room to get a
glass of champagne each.
19. Their food arrived as the friends sat down with glasses of champagne,
and it was decided they couldn't eat until after a toast.
“To new friends, I guess!” Betria announced.
“New friends!” The others chorused.
20. “This is nice,” Victoria decided, “we should dress up for dinner more
often.”
“There's only one more dinner left,” Lute pointed out, “and only three
of us will be here.”
The girls and Forrest fell quiet, thinking about how the week was
almost over.
21. “Did I mention I love you all?” Forrest laughed, breaking the silence.
“You had one glass of champagne, Forrest...why so sentimental?”
Betria smiled.
Forrest gave a chuckle, and they carried on with dinner.
22. After dinner was over, Forrest stepped out onto one of the balconies to
watch the waves.
“You're going to miss this place, too, aren't you?” Betria asked,
stepping up behind him.
Forrest allowed a smile, “How can you tell? And it's not just the place
I'll miss, either...”
23. “...it's the people, too.” He murmured, and kissed Betria, gently.
She pulled back from him and smiled a little, “I don't want to say
goodbye to you, Forrest.”
Betria let him go and stepped back, offering him another smile before
she left him on the balcony.
(I failed to get a picture of the kiss :( Which is disappointing, I know,
but I couldn't exactly make them kiss again, that's not fair on the
others ;) )
24. “Power's back on,” Victoria said, stepping out onto the balcony. Forrest
turned to look at her.
“You saw through my plans, then.” Forrest smiled.
“Well, the candlelight was nice,” Victoria added, “but the power-cut
thing is so overdone.”
25. “Everything's a little overdone,” Forrest murmured, “and this is
probably one of them, but I don't care.”
He leaned forwards and kissed Victoria. When she pulled away, she
said nothing more, smiled, and left him standing there, a faint smile on
his face.
26. “Lute, you look wonderful, as always.” Forrest said, causing Lute to
blush a little.
“Thanks...it's all because it's nearly the end now, isn't it?”
Forrest nodded, “Yeah. It's really...close. But I've enjoyed my time
here. I've enjoyed spending time you all.”
27. He kissed her, briefly, before she pulled away and told him, “I really
like you, I hope you know that.”
“I do. The feeling is mutual,” Forrest raised an eyebrow, “I hope you all
decide to keep in touch, no matter what.”
28. “What am I going to do?” Forrest asked himself as he settled in for the
night, “They're all so great...how can I choose who to leave this time?”
29. The next morning was a quiet one. Everyone in the house decided to
spend some time on their own, doing various things.
Lute headed down to the beach to watch the surf, her thoughts a
mystery.
30. Victoria kept herself distracted, by building palaces out of sand. No
one could tell what she was thinking about, either.
31. Betria, meanwhile, was playing video games all morning, her mind and
thoughts on the game rather than anything else.
Video games are excellent distractions.
32. Forrest, however, slept in, before drifting from room to room,
wondering who he was going to ask to leave today.
By the time the clock hit twelve, he had made up his mind.
33. The girls sat on just one of the sofas, now there was only three of
them. Three was about to become two, and it made all of the girls feel
ill.
“You two will keep in touch after all of this, right?” Victoria asked.
“Of course,” Lute replied, “no matter who goes today.”
“No matter what.” Betria added.
34. “Good morning, ladies! Technically, I should have spent time with each
of you this morning, but I woke up late...you were all okay, though?
Right?”
The girls only nodded in reply.
35. “I want to keep you all, remember that, right? I don't want to lose any
of you, and I certainly don't want to lose touch. Anyway, today I'm
going to ask...”
37. So now we're down to the last two contestants! Betria and Lute! The
daily stats for you:
Betria – 192
