meets to discuss the nation's affairs. It stands on
Capitol Hill, the highest point in the city.
14. The Library of Congress is not far from the Capitol. It is
one of the largest libraries in the world.

shelves to hold all the books!
17. Pennsylvania Avenue joins the Capitol and the White
House which is the President's residence. The White House
has been the home of every president with the exception of
George Washington.
26. Arlington National Cemetery - the military cemetery.
In the cemetery are buried members of wars, presidents
, heads of the Supreme Court and astronauts .
Now the cemetery has 300,000 graves .
