oftwares have shown us the potential to
work in almost every sector that exists.
IT sector in recent times has gone far
ahead of what we can even imagine. Robotics
technology is in its development stage where we
can experience some prototypes in the market
which follow the basic commands. In science
fiction (SciFi) movies we always get surprised by
the visuals they showcase their imagination. Now,
those imaginative technologies are coming into
existence. All credit goes to our researchers and
scientists who are working on such a futuristic
piece of technology that could possibly shape our
future in a better manner.
Augmented Reality (AR) was initially developed
in the early 1990s, starting with the virtual
fixtures system developed at the US Air Force’s
Laboratory in 1992. The commercial introduction
of Augmented Reality was first introduced in the
entertainment and e-sports/e-games business.
Subsequently, AR applications have expanded
to the education, medical, and communication
industries as well. The main value of augmented
reality is ‘how the components of the digital world
are mixed with human perception in the real

7. world through the integration of immersive
sensations that act as a natural part of the
observation, rather than as a simple display of
data is.’
Virtual Reality (VR) is a simulated experience
that can be almost similar to the real world.
We have at least once tried the VR box for cell
phones where we were able to experience
3D visuals. Virtual Reality is mainly popular in
the entertainment, medical, infrastructure,
gaming industry, and education sector.
Currently, standard virtual reality systems
use either virtual reality headsets or multi-
projected environments to generate realistic
images, sounds, and other sensations that
simulate a user’s physical presence in a virtual
environment.
Augmented reality & Virtual reality combined
can achieve milestones if integrated
appropriately. Currently, in India, we could
see the implementation of VR setup in driving
schools, military training, construction industry,
and medical industry. India is witnessing
several startups registering in this field as

was a lack of urgency in adopting. Technology
adoption, shifting from the normal avenues or
behaviour was slow until the Pandemic (COVID).
This changed the views for businesses to adopt now.
What was predicted as a 2022/23 adoption now has
reduced by a year or more and we see businesses
are compelled for alternate options in Sales &
Marketing, product demos and various other
aspects.

industry better? What can be expected
from AUGRAY in the upcoming years?
Our enterprise solutions help to provide the

evolved. My name is Dr. C.SS Bharathy, the founder
of FusionVR. About 25 years ago, as a petrochemical
plant operator, I faced the same challenges as many
professionals in the industry face today.

About Us
Liminal are based out of Mumbai and host a
creative agency that produces solutions and content
in Augmented Reality and Virtual reality. In an
effort to innovate the way world communicates, we
began with a small team and large aspirations of
expanding the horizon of AR and VR in India.
The will to generate the best content, won us awards
within a year of our company’s runtime. When we’re
not mulling over developing our collective skills as
a team, you’ll find us Vive-ing and competing to
games in our HTC Vive experience zone.
We haven’t been doing this long enough to have
grey hair, but we intend to keep doing it until we
have lost every little speck of grey. We could yap on

changing world. We are surrounded by technology
and rely on it for almost every task we perform.
Whether it is about reading, communicating,
learning or performing any other task; we almost rely
on technological device. The funniest part is that, you
are currently reading this article on a desktop, laptop,
tablet or cell phone.
Technology has changed our lifestyle and our needs as

soldiers about the driving experience of trucks, bus,
aircraft and few under development.

and commands to better learn the driving and save
lot of fuel and also reduce the risk of accidents on
field. There will be some sort of difference in driving
a vehicle on road and in VR-AI box.

start shaping humankind and other living beings on
