1. White Aluminium Oxide Grit (SYNWAL)
SYNCO White Fused Aluminium Oxide (SYNWAL) grit is over 99.5% pure grade of
aluminium based abrasive blasting media. The purity of this media along with the
variety of grit sizes available make it ideal for various blast cleaning applications
particularly where ferrous contamination is not desirable i.e. cleaning engine
heads, valves, pistons and turbine blades in the aircraft, automotive industries
and non ferrous forgings, castings and components. SYNWAL is also superb
choice for roughening of hard surfaces prior to painting or coating for adhesion
and bond strength.
SYNWAL is an extremely sharp, long-lasting blasting abrasive which can be
recycled many times having a break down rate of 5-7% per cycle. SYNWAL is a
suitable choice as for blast finishing and surface preparation because in view of its
superior longevity, hardness matrix and cost. Having hardness of 9 on MOH scale
and specific gravity of 3.9 gm/cc SYNWAL grains penetrate and cut even the
hardest metals and sintered carbide effectively.
Approximately 50% lighter than metallic media, SYNWAL has twice as many
particles per kilogram. The fast-cutting action minimizes damage to thin materials
by eliminating surface stresses caused by heavier, slower-cutting media blasting
grits requiring more no of cycles to achieve the same result which sometimes
tends to deformity in the object.
SYNWAL contains less than 0.2% free silica and is safer to use than sand. The grit
size is consistent and gives a smoother and uniform surface.
