2. elephantiasis Definition : Causes: Elephantiasis is enlargement and thickening of tissues. it is transmitted by female mosquitoes when an infected female mosquito bites a person , she may inject the worm larvae into the bloodstream.,where they can spread throughout the bloodstream, where they can live for many years.

KAPOSI'S SARCOMA DEFINITION; CAUSES: A neoplastiic disease affecting esp. the skin and mucous membranes, characterized esp. by the formation of pink to reddish-brown or bluish tumorous plaques,macules,papules, or nodules esp. onthe lower extremities and formerly limited primarily to elderly men in whom it followed a benign a major and sometimes fatal disease associated with immunodeficient individuals with AIDS. The epidemic KS, occuring as a disease that accompanies AIDS is thought to have a cause the virus named HIV.
