It involves conducting in-depth interviews where consumers discuss pictures they collected related to the research topic. This uncovers deep metaphors - fundamental thought patterns - that shape decision-making. Insights from ZMET are translated into effective marketing strategies by framing messages in ways that activate consumers' unconscious motivations.
