It will show you the history of Pantomime. There is 5 main of ideas in this essay. First, it will show you the types of costume in Pantomime. Second, what kind of costume the Principal boy and the Pantomime Dame wear it. Third, what did it look like the Pantomime costume. It shows you basic Pantomime costume. Lastly, I’ll show you how was it made these costumes. My essay is about Pantomime costume.<br />History of Pantomime<br />The British Pantomime or (Panto and Mime) is famous in the UK, probably back to the Middle Ages. And mix together the traditions of the Italian quot;
Commedia dell’ Arte, which is type of travel entertainment. It is a very physical type of theatre that used music, tumbling, buffoonery, dance and acrobatic. And the British Music hallway to produce the art form that is Pantomime.<br />Costume <br />Seen onstage, costume plays a very important part in our understanding of a character’s age, social class and rank and, most important, the production’s attitude to the character. On the simples level, kings wear crowns, soldiers wear uniforms, poor people dress in rags; the simple is often a good starting point. However, costume, like all the other design basics, depends on an overall design concept, and this comes from collaboration.<br />Pantomime Costume<br />Pantomime costume can be collected for bring about personality to the dresses used for a variety of events. Mime artists act in dramatic performances and show a story using only their look, without using talk. So, dressing up, a mime artist is sure to make an individual unique. The ideas can be realize very easily with the use of simple dresses. <br />What did it look like? <br />The Basic Pantomime costume’s color is dark color, which are black, white and gray. The British traditional mime costumes wear a black and white striped shirt or black turtleneck, paired with black trousers and black shoes. A black beret, white gloves and black. However, the modern pantomime costumes wear a colorful shirt. Based at the Concordia Theatre, Hinckley (one of the finest amateur theatres in the United Kingdom), the company produces the annual spectacular traditional pantomime at the venue. This company is playing for 26 performances the shows every time draw full houses.<br />The Abergavenny Pantomime Company <br />The Abergavenny Pantomime Company is the oldest Pantomime Company in Wales. And was honest back in 1932, which was known before then as ‘The Holy Trinity Company’. Its main performance is a traditional pantomime in order to money for local charities. They pantomimes are generally performed during half-term week in February each year.<br />The Pantomime costume is really simple because of color. British Traditional Pantomime used black and white for their costumes. And one of the famous pantomimer who is Marcel Marceau made Bip. It’s very helpful to performance Pantomime.
