QUESTIONNAIRE
  ANALYSIS
PURPOSE OF USING A
            QUESTIONNAIRE

 I used this questionnaire to ensure a more audience appropriate opening for my
main task. It helped my group prepare ideas toward the main task, as the research
carried out was to help us achieve a wider audience in which we could appeal to and
make the opening scenemore of a success. I asked 20 people these questions over and
over again to have high validity, and to show replication of the questions which enabled
a high validity. The sample was small as my aim was to find this quantitative data and
adapt it to make my final piece for coursework so a large sample was not needed.
GENDER AND AGE

                      Gender Age
                                                                Aged 11 to 15 Aged 16 to 24
Male Female Aged 25-40 Aged 41+

                                                                       10% 10%
                 40%
                                                                 20%
                                     60%
                                                                                   60%

More males where asked then females as most of my peers and family members are male, so I intended to ask people
who I knew, I also asked females too to keep the data more reliable than a sexist questionnaire as men tend to have a
different appeal to women, this would of kept my data too one sided and would not have had any variation.

I asked mainly people between the ages of 10-19 as it was more convenient for me as my friends where between the
age, it may effect the outcome as the majority will have a different idea for thrillers then 30+, that is why I asked all
 types of people.

I found that people chose Batman: Dark Knight to be their main choice for a thriller, this could be down to the age
of the people asked (was mainly ranged from 10-19). However, we got ideas from then analysing Batman’s
techniques and these will be adapted into the final piece.

 of BGM.

scene, with different shots such as establishing shots, and this builds on the themes of mystery.
