2. So it all starts off in the north. There is a monsoon season
every year but this time the monsoon brought too much
rain and brought it to the mountain elevations. (Too much
precipitation.)

3. While the tributaries are traveling towards the Chao Phraya river, it also gains more water
like it naturally does. Since the tributary already had too much water because of the
monsoon season, the tributaries gained more water than it could handle from the surface
runoff’s.

4. The rice fields are in the flood
plains, which usually floods a
bit because they are next to
the river but this time, they
got too much water.

5. The government built dams where the water cant soak in anywhere,
so the water increases and it can’t evaporate because there is too
much of it. So the water just travels on from dam to dam until it starts
to flood towns/cities/villages.

6. We have built the air port where
the water usually goes, so now
the water doesn’t know where
to go and we have built dams
trying to control the water but
this time there was too much of
it!

7. There are not enough trees so there is no transpiration.

8. Our houses and factories have
blocked and interrupted the natural
water ways.
