Daryl P. Rush began his service with the City of Cleveland as Director of Community Development in April 2004. He is responsible for the department that administers federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), provides financing and assistance for housing development, and offers housing services to residents. Rush works to implement Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s vision to create safe and economically vibrant communities and fashion neighborhoods as “places of choice” for people and businesses.
Description:Famicos is a not-for-profit affordable housing developer and provider of social services - not your characteristic philanthropic "foundation." Over our history the name Famicos evolved from Family Cooperators and the "Foundation" is symbolic of our work – providing solid foundations for growth and development. History:Famicos Foundation was born out of need in 1969 in response to the civil unrest, ensuing disinvestment and suburban flight that followed the race riots in July of 1966 in the Hough neighborhood.
