Once you have registered
by sending in your
volunteer profile form,
you can view and sign
up for any of our listed
volunteer opportunities.

- The first step to becoming a Living Press
Volunteer “Star”
- An important tool that The Living Press uses
to match our volunteers' skills and interests
with potential project assignments.
12. Volunteer Profile
• All potential Living Press volunteers fill out
a Volunteer Profile Form.
• This form asks for your contact information,
interests and preferences. We would also appreciate
a copy of your resume or CV.
• Reminder: Completion of the Volunteer Profile form
is the first step in the volunteer placement process
and does not guarantee an assignment.

– Select “Document Object” , then “Open”
– If an error appears, click on “OK” 3 times
– Once open, fill in the information
– Save the file using the file name: "your last
name. your first name“

will receive an email
detailing dozens of
short term and long
term project
opportunities for PR
and Communications
specialists.
16. Once you have found a project
that interests you, contact
that opportunity manager
to sign up by emailing
TheLivingPress@gmail.com
17. If you discover that you
cannot do the project after
signing up please contact
the project manager at The
Living Press by emailing
TheLivingPress@gmail.com
Also email your client
contact and let them know
as well.
18. Once assigned, a client
representative will tell you
more about the
organization, your
publicity, communications,
PR or social media duties
and put you to work!
19. The Living Press “Hot Projects” bi-
monthly email, website, and Twitter
account provides helpful hints and
suggested guidelines for how to
manage your PR, Communications,
and social media tasks.
