History
Research is a difficult task to accomplish for even the most experienced scientist. The elaboration of a hypothesis
alone can be challenging and time consuming, needing to be pondered at length to assess its validity. When adding
to this the creation of an appropriate testing method, which requires precise and full-proof tools to reach acceptable
results; and the presentation of the experiment to the general public, which can be difficult to phrase at the best of
times, leads many people to simply abandon the idea of conducting research.
Our company was founded to try and teach aspiring researchers to convert this seemingly insurmountable obstacle
into a manageable set of goals, a check-list if you will. There are hundreds of companies that provide simple services
for research. Their aim is to take the work or difficulties from the individual and, for a free, return the problem solved.
This may be an efficient way to circumvent a problem but it does not solve it. Why was this test used? Why was this
reference removed? These are the questions one should ask oneself, so as to do better next time. And these are the
questions we intend to answer.

pect of research to surmount the problem. This is accomplished by not
only providing a service that can tackle it for them, but also to provide
detailed reasons and explanations for each step so that, in future, the
individual has learnt enough to not make the same mistakes twice.

Divisions
What follows are the areas in which we can lend assistance. Each department will handle a different aspect of
the research process. Upon the customer’s request, the division will look at the supplied problem and attempt to
remedy it while making detailed notes as to the steps taken. When complete, the work and notes will be returned
to the customer for his review and, hopefully, clarification of all such dilemmas.
7. Our writing team is composed of various specialists in
many fields with extensive publishing experience. It is
their task to look at a submitted document and assess
it in terms of its language and content (poor referencing,
inconsistent results, unclear aim, etc.) If they find any of
these lacking, the team will correct what they can and
send the document to the costumer with annotations so
as to explain why we think it is wrong and how it could
be improved

individuals with experience in the teaching field, be it from
a university background or simply from an accumulation
of dozens of project presentations to a generic audience.
Furnished with their own courses or with those supplied

good methodology; Ethics in research, etc.

the desired project or you are uncertain how to present the results
we can help you with this. By sitting with you on a 1-1 basis, we
hope to be able to guide you to creating the most appropriate
methodology for your study as well as determine how best to
present your findings
If you do not have time or do not wish for such a personal in-
volvement, we can also send the study to the Study Design team,
who will suggest an appropriate methodology. This will of course
be accompanied by a document explaining why we believe the
methods to be appropriate and why the findings were presented
in such a manner.
The Statistical Consulting Service (SCS) provides fee-based con-
sulting services, including study design, data analysis and inter-
pretation, on all statistical aspects of business and academic
research. Our clients range graduate students to university re-
searchers and other public or private institutions. All our employ-
ees have an in depth knowledge of biostatistician work and can
render assistance in almost any area of this field.
Our services include:
- Revision of study protocol and expert advice to improve quality,
relevance and feasibility of implementation.

8. Systematic and Meta-analysis
A meta-analysis is a statistical method used to combine the results of
a large volume of published studies into one cohesive result. It usually
works hand-in-hand with systemic review as it makes use of the same
general methods and principals, only focusing on the data and not the
text. Meta-analysis articles are highly valued in healthcare as they allow
researchers to make their own conclusions from raw data and achieve
sample sizes of sufficient quantity for statistical significance in their own
studies.
In addition to the steps used in a systemic review, a meta-analysis also
requires:
- A standard to be set to compare between studies
- Use of varied statistical techniques to determine any significant associ
ations between studies at various levels

A Systemic review is a method of conducting research that aims to establish
the current status of any subject by reviewing and summarizing results and
empirical evidence from a large volume of different studies. These reviews can
help scientists and practitioners alike to better understand the current situa-
tion and also keep up to date with modern practices. In general, a systemic
review is conducted in the following manner:
1- First ascertain the desired subject matter (diabetes, myopia etc.)
2- Locate relevant studies through databases and other methods of enquiry
3- Assess quality of gathered information (with consideration of inclusion
and exclusion criteria)
4- Summarize the results
5- Interpret findings and write a review

We are aware that, at times, managerial positions can be hard to fill. These often require individuals of a certain calibre, with good
qualifications and extensive hands-on experience so they can assure the quality of research is maintained and guide junior members
in times of doubt or dispute. We have therefore reached out to our many employees and partners and found individuals in all areas of
science and medicine who are qualified and willing to take up these hard but rewarding roles. Upon request, we can supply a Labora-
tory or Research Centre Manager who will make it his responsibility to:

13. Translation
We are aware that many of our clients will wish to present their work to a non-English speaking communi-
ty. It is important therefore that we have a way to furnish the client with a way to translate his work into the
local dialect, in most cases Arabic, after all the writing and critiquing is done.
We therefore have ties with a team of language experts fluent in Arabic, both written and spoken that can
