2. If you’re planning a big move, you may be under a lot of stress trying to figure out how everything is
going to get to the new location. Have you thought about how your new Toyota is going to get there? If
you’re moving far away, you may be planning on shipping your car instead of driving it all the way there.
Although shipping your ride may be easier than hours upon hours of driving, you may be unfamiliar with
the process. To ensure shipping your car goes off without a hitch, we’re sharing useful tips!
4. The shipping company you choose is going to do all of the transporting for you once you choose to ship
your new Toyota; however, you need to prepare it. Preparing your new Toyota to ship isn’t hard, but it’s
necessary! Here are just a few tips from our Toyota dealership in Orlando for preparing your car for
transport:
First, get your car ready to go by cleaning it inside and out! When cleaning the exterior, you want
to inspect it and take note of any existing damage. This will make it easier to dispute if you notice
any scratches during transport! You also want to clean out the cabin of your new Toyota in Orlando
and take out any personal items. You don’t want anything important to go missing while being
shipped!
To protect your car, you need to secure
any special parts, such as a spoiler or
fog lights. You can also remove them
to be on the safe side. Don’t forget to
fold in the side mirrors and remove
the antenna if possible.
If your new Toyota in Orlando is a
convertible like the Toyota Solara,
make sure the top is up and secure.
This will protect the interior of your
ride from getting damaged during
transport. If you can’t put the top up,
you should put a cover on top that can
resist wind!
Another piece of advice is to NOT fill
up the gas tank. You don’t want the
gas gage to be on “E”; however, you
don’t want it full. This is because it would make your Orlando Toyota heavier and tougher to
transport.
5. Find the right shipping company to transport your ride
Toyota of Orlando has all of your automotive needs covered; however, we don’t ship cars. So, how do you
know who you should trust? Find a reputable company and don’t forget to check online reviews! You also
want to check to see if they use a closed or open trailer. Whichever type of trailer you want is up to you! If
you have a classic car, you may want to go with the more expensive, but safer, closed trailer.
