3. SUMMARY
One day Raphael and Gardo find a wallet
containing a money, a map and an interesting
looking key. Then the police come to the dumpsite
asking if anyone has found a wallet, but the boys
don’t give it up because they think it may come in
useful one day. They give the wallet to Jun - Jun
( Rat ) who then keeps it hidden until they plan to
run away. Will they find there hearts desire ? Read
the book to find out.

4. WHY DID I CHOOSE
THIS BOOK
I chose this book because when the author
explained a bit about the story, I thought it sounded
like a good book to read.Also I am living in Manila
and I met these kind of people during CWW.
My favorite passage was “ Everybody needs a key,
and with the right key you can bust the door wide
open because nobody is going to open it for you”

5. READING STRATEGIES
I used sticky notes to point out the important parts
I visualized the scene and made it a mini movie
I did research about the author

6. RECOMMENDATION
Genre: Adventure and mystery
I would recommend this to boys because it has a
few chases and is an adventure, but if girls like that
that is OK too
Age: I would recommend this to 11 - 12 year olds
because it is about a Grade 6 reading level
It is not a very long book so for people who don’t
like long books, this is the book for you
