Placement Track Record: University of Petroleum & Energy Studies

Since the graduation of our first batch in 2005, UPES has had an enviable placement
record. Close to 100% of our students have joined India's most prestigious Energy and
Core sector companies.




UPES commenced its placement season 2010 in the backdrop of the global recession of
2009, a scenario where most of the corporate are still approaching fresh recruitments
tentatively. The domain focus of the UPES programs has helped us commence
placements for our students on a positive note, as detailed below:

* 471 students have been already placed across various programs as on 20th July’2010.
The Career Services office is still supporting to unplaced students from respective
domain and hopeful to place more students before the new session begins in August'10.

* With 100% placement in M. Tech Health, Safety & Environment, M. Tech Energy
Systems, B. Sc Plant Operations & Maintenance and BBA Aviation Operations & more
than 80% placement in MBA Power, Energy Trading, Port & Shipping and B. Tech
Applied Petroleum Engineering Upstream, UPES is hopeful to better placement records
in other program also & maintain its good placement track record.

* Nearly 120 reputed international and national companies in core sector recruited UPES
grads (Through on/off campus). 31 among these are new recruits, the rest being repeat
recruiters – a track record that we are extremely proud of.
* Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. has offered the highest CTC so far, Rs. 10.00 lacs
per annum, to six students followed by 9.8 lacs per annum to ten students by Hindustan
Petroleum Corporation Limited from UPES Oil & Gas Programs.
