1. HEALTH SERVICES OF UPES:
Infirmary
The University aspires to providing well equipped first aid support in the infirmary, as also ambulance
evacuation for students of the campus and inmates of campus boy’s hostel. We have two male and two
female doctors to provide the medical support.
MANPOWER-
DOCTORS-
1- Dr. L.M.S. Negi – Pediatrician (feb.-1982), trained in Adolescent Health, Sports Sciences,
Emergency Medicine.
Experience- 31 yrs and 7months. Experience – Army, N.T.P.C., GAIL, ONGC, Private practice,
SGRR Medical College, THE DOON SCHOOL, Head EMLC – EMRI 108 services Uttrakhand., At
UPES w.e.f. 25.11.2009.
2- Dr. Somya Lakshmi Menon- M.D.2009 (equivalent to MBBS) from Armenia.(General Physician)
Experience- 4 month in Cardiology at S.P. Sort hospital, Trivendrum, at UPES wef 01.8.12.
3- Dr. Livtar Singh.- MBBS-2009 (General Physician)
Experience – 1 yrMaldeive, 1 yr at Govt. Medical College Chandigarh, Private Practice – 5month.
At UPES wef 11.8.13.
4- Dr. Mandeep Kaur- MBBS -2009(General Physician)
Experience – 1 yrMaldeive, 1 yr at Govt. Medical College Chandigarh, CRI Kasauli – 5month.
At UPES wef 11.8.13.
NURSING ASSISTANT / INFIRMARY ATTENDANCE-
1- Sudhir Singh-education- A.M.C. nursing assistant class -1,
Experience- 26yrs in Army, worked in ICU and ECG unit. At UPES wef April 2012 as Nursing
Assistant.

2. 2- Mr. SandeepRao- education – D. Pharma* (2002), undergoing Bachelor of Nursing by distant
learning.
Experience- 8yrs at Kraft Palm –Patna, At UPES wef- oct.2010 as senior infirmary attendant.
3- Mr. GirishDevtulya- education- D.Pharma* (2006), M. Pharma (2012)
Experience- Batra hospital wefaug. 2006 – july 2008. At UPES wef Aug.2008.
4- Ms. Seema Joshi- education – D. Pharma*
Experience around 1 yr at ArchanaLuthra Nursing Home, At UPES wef- 1st
july 2013.
* D. Phrama graduates are supposed to do 3 month intershipin a district hospitals in
Uttarakhand.
AMBULANCE DRIVERS-
1- Mr. Anil Singh – 3and half years at EMRI 108 Services. At UPES wefApril 2012.
2- Mr. KamleshPawar – 15yrs driving experience- at UPES wef Nov.2010.
Both the drivers help in registration, dressing, and imparting trg. Casualty evacuation drills.
WORKING OF INFIRMARY:- 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, from basement of block V.
Off duty hours that from UPES hostel infirmary.
