1. Minutes of the last members’ meeting - these will be presented for approval as an accurate record of
    November's Emergency Members' Meeting

2. Union update - you can ask the Full-time Elected Officers questions about;
    a. reports from the Full-time Elected Officers about what they've been working on and plan to do
    b. the Union's financial statements from 2010/11
    c. the Union's budget for 2011/12

3. Items for discussion submitted by students
    a. Closure of the Centre for Community Engagement

    b. Need for affordable campus accommodation

    c. Extreme energy & sustainable investment

    d. No indiscriminate boycott of Israel

    e. Cuts to local Council services

    f. Higher Education Bill

    g. Students’ Union use of animal entertainment venues

Becca, Operations Officer,
            will be chairing the meeting
         Her role is to help the meeting run smoothly, to
        ensure that everyone can speak, that no one talks
          for too long and that the Union’s policies are
                               upheld
             You can ask a question by
                 raising your hand

speaking in favour of and against them
They have a limited amount of time
so the discussion is balanced

Sometimes people want to add or
remove sections from proposals…
You can do this by submitting an amendment to Becca

This will be presented to everyone at the meeting
who will then vote on whether or not to accept it

When you vote, you have three choices;
       Vote in favour – if you agree with the proposal

       Vote against – if you disagree with the proposal

       Abstain from voting – if you don’t want to vote for or against

You vote by raising your hand when asked by Becca. She will count the
     votes to decide whether the proposal is accepted or rejected
