New Features in 2014 Grievance Manager is going strong in 2014! Our unique, intensive method of building the applications to order, from the code base up, allows us to constantly improve and benefit from customers’ needs and experience. In addition to the standards that have made GM a success over the past eight years, this year we’re offering a number of new features, listed below: Edit histories. Each grievance shows every change: the date and time the file was saved, by whom, and what fields were changed. This is a convenient in-screen feature on the grievance edit screen showing the list of edits by timestamp. Timestamps may be clicked to show a pop-up PDF showing the full grievance record at that time. Report Charts. We now offer visualization charts to grouped reporting, including pie charts, bar charts and other visual enhancements for seeing the big picture at a glance. These are great on a projector for real-time presentations, showing broad views of data. Some examples are counts of open grievances at each location, or open grievances currently assigned to each rep, but possibilities are endless. These can be simple totals or broken out by sub-factors on the fly, like contract, step, location or other factors. These reports are very flexible and powerful. Mobile Apps. Mobile is here to stay, and now our customers can carry access to their grievance database in their pocket. We now include a read-only version of Grievance Managers for mobile devices at very low cost. These are built on the popular JQuery Mobile framework, making them easy on the eyes and fingers. They’re great for getting information quickly and easily on the run. Quick research is easy, and phone numbers and email addresses are one-touch to contact. Advanced mobile versions with edit capabilities and camera uploads are available on request. Note: Full-sized desktop/laptop Grievance Manager can also be accessed on mobile for those that don’t mind pinch-zooming. MS Word documents. We can now output data as MS Word documents (.docx) in addition to PDFs, so that users can edit documents before printing or emailing if desired. QR Codes. We can add QR Codes to printable pages (PDF or MS Word), so that pages can be scanned by a smart phone to retrieve the record, a specific form or data view of a record, or simply to offer convenient one-touch phone numbers of the associated rep, steward and grievant. *All Grievance Managers are built to customer specifications, with custom screens, user permission levels and contract-specific calendar-based notifications.
