Introduction
Nehru Place
Nehru Place is a large commercial, financial, and business centre in Delhi, India. It is widely
considered to be a major information technology hub of South Asia. Named after the first Prime
Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, its main commercial district was built in the early 1980s, and
consists of several 4-floor buildings, that flank a large pedestrian courtyard, built over an underground
parking. Nehru Place is accessible by all forms of public transport, as it lies next to the Outer Ring
Road. Nehru Place is a hub for all forms of IT hardware, such as personal computers, servers,
networking equipment, software, documentation services. Several manufacturers of computer
hardware have their authorized dealerships located here.
Sunday Book Market, Daryaganj
Sunday Book Market, Daryaganj is located in Daryaganj area of Old Delhi. The nearest Metro
stations are Chawri Bazaar and Chandni Chowk. It was started in 1964, and it was the destination to
find all kinds of second-hand books: novels, memoirs, whodunits, quiz books, classics, encyclopedias,
chicklits and sometimes, rare first editions. The Daryaganj Sunday Market is open only on Sundays,
as the name obviously suggests. The Sunday Book Market is more than 1 kilometre long. The book
market has thousands of books, magazines & journals. There are many used books as well as new
books. As the market is situated on the streets of Daryaganj, most of their books are covered in dust.
Importance of communication in the business set-up
Nehru Place
The shopkeepers of the Nehru place are not well educated and it reflects when they deal with
customer. In business good communication plays an important role, but in Nehru place it is different
as compare to other sector market. Shopkeepers are not maintaining proper communication with
customer. As per my experience in Nehru Place, when I visited to a shop I ask for the rate of external
hard disk and they tell me to go to board and find out the prices itself.
Sunday Book Market, Daryaganj
It is open market, or we can say there is no shop for this market but there are some shopkeepers who
are having own shop. The way they talk is very soft. It reflects that how innocent they are. But still it
reflects no proper communication. Most of the same are uneducated and they sell book for
engineering and medical.

How businessman conducts themselves
Nehru Place
The timing for this market is Monday to Saturday from 11 AM to 9 PM. They usually bring water
bottle from their home or buy mineral water bottle from shop because water supply for Nehru place is
not good. Shopkeepers usually bring their lunchbox also because when the market starts they never
get a moment to move.
Sunday Book Market, Daryaganj
The timing for this market is only Sunday from 9AM to 6 PM. Many of the shopkeepers work for
other businesses on other weekdays also. Sunday is big rush so the shopkeepers didn’t get time to
move to home or move to anywhere.

As per the information gather by friend I come to know that this will be the hub of electronics markets
and restaurant.
ON-TOUR LEARNING
After visiting this place I come to know that this is not only the hub of electronics product but it is the
biggest supplier of computer appliances and home electronics appliances. It also has the larger spaces
for service centre for many brands.

As per the information gather by friend I come to know that this will be the hub of books and
magazine.
ON-TOUR LEARNING
After visiting this place I come to know that this is not only the hub of books and magazines but this
market also have books of engineering and medical as well as notebook and other project report
binding materials.
Suggestion
Nehru Place
1. Should have better infrastructure
2. Public toilet should be clean
3. Market places should be clean
4. Sales man should be more educated so that it will be value proposition

2. Shopkeepers should talk to customer as a gentleman not like uneducated people
3. Fast food stall will be added value for customer
