This document summarizes Taiwan's involvement in high energy physics (HEP) experiments and collaborations, the network requirements and activities to support HEP projects, and APAN-TW's network services and infrastructure to facilitate data transfer and video conferencing for HEP collaborations. Key Taiwanese institutions participate in experiments at Fermilab, CERN and KEK. Notable results include the discovery of the top quark and measurements of CP violation. APAN-TW provides international connectivity and quality of service to support large data transfers and multi-point video conferencing required by HEP projects. Future plans include increasing bandwidth capacities to support data-intensive grid applications.
