What is GaIN?
 GaIN is special developments project for internal





customers i.e. our GCO support representatives
To develop a strong knowledge transfer between
representatives of different departments
To understand the compact resolution of complex issues
Ability to share own developed methods, findings and
ideas
Uniform flow of practical knowledge
How Does it work?
 Idea of this project is to introduce new methods of

troubleshooting
 Developing the available knowledge base resources to

enhance customer service
 Incorporating the ideas of several experienced experts to

develop a uniform internal learning product

How to GaIN?
 We take raw data of top 10 driver issues, which our





representatives find difficult to deal with
Analysing root cause of the confusion regarding the
instructions present in resources
Creation of learning resources by enhancing the available
knowledge base resources in more detailed manner
Providing the enhanced resource to our representatives to
build better understanding of the product
Monitor the results and upcoming issues by feedback
What we will learn?
 During GaIN, we will learn how to create, own knowledge

base articles by using available resources
 Use of screen shots of different options at making them
self-explanatory
 Efforts to focus on visual explanation compared to text
format
 Reducing the floor support requirement.

To add a project to your profile:
 Move your cursor over Profile at the top of your

homepage and select Edit Profile.
 If you've never added a project before, click Projects on
the right side of the page. If you've previously added a
project, scroll down to the Projects section on your
profile and click +Add.
 Fill out the fields.
 Click Save.

To edit an existing project:
 Move your cursor over Profile at the top of your

homepage and select Edit Profile.
 Scroll down to the Projects section and click the Edit
icon.
 Make your changes.
 Click Save.

More about adding and editing
projects:
 When you create a project, a link to the project will appear under the








Experience entry of your profile.
To add a team member, start typing the name of the team member to
see a list of 1st-degree connections. You can select a connection from
this list.
The connection will be notified that you've added them.
They'll have the opportunity to add the project to their profile by
following the steps above.
If you remove the project after they've added it, it will remain on their
profile and vice versa.
If your team member isn't on LinkedIn, you can still type their name to
add them to the project.
You cannot edit the Team Member section of a project on someone
else's profile. If you'd like to remove yourself, you'll need to reach out to
that person and ask them to remove you.

 One person doesn't add the project for everyone. Each project is






independently created by each member. The flow is:
1. Member creates project and adds connections.
2. Added connections receive inbox notifications prompting them to
add the project to their profile.
3. Member creates what is technically a new project on their
profile, manually, and manually adds connections to it. These may or
may not be the same people the first person added.
Removing a member from the person who first created the project
doesn't subsequently remove it from the others, since they were
independently created.
Additional information: If any team member breaks connection
then member will not be able to edit the project. He needs to remove
that team member and save it, and then he will be able to edit the
project information.

 If you see your profile photo in the top right corner of a LinkedIn page,

it means you're already signed in to your account. I believe what you're
seeing is a feature at the top of your homepage
http://www.linkedin.com/home that helps you import your email
address book and invite people to join your network. The feature is
usually titled "See Who You Already Know on LinkedIn" or "Quickly
grow your professional network.“

 You can remove this feature from your homepage once you have 20

connections. All you need to do is click the "X" that will appear in the
top right corner of the feature. If you want to import your address book
later, here's a link to our Help Center answer that explains how to
import contacts from an address book:

Uploading contacts via CS Tool
 Uploading CSV file via CS Tool shows the contacts are

inserted and number of contacts are displaying under
address book in CS Tool: Total contacts. But when we
log in to our account we cannot find those imported
contacts to send them invites.
 Which format of CSV is taken by outlook import
function because if you edit a CSV file after importing
from outlook so that it should be in line with the
instructions present in "fc" hotkey then while
uploading it says "error file is not compatible"?

Workaround : Import Contacts
 CS tool it says good to go but when we importing the same

file via account by going to
Network>>contacts>>settings>>Outlook Contacts CSV
same file gives error that it is not compatible outlook csv
file.
 Click on Add connections>>Other>>Upload contacts file
This option works perfectly according to instructions of fc
hotkey) only thing is via this option I have to send invites
in order to add them as contacts. Could not add them as
contacts and later on send invites tested with csv file have 2
contacts on own account
 The invite screen can only be found when you upload a file.
It cannot be accessed later.

To add a project to your profile:  Move your cursor over Profile at the top of your homepage and select Edit Profile.  If you've never added a project before, click Projects on the right side of the page.   • 12. More about adding and editing projects:  When you create a project, a link to the project will appear under the       Experience entry of your profile. To add a team member, start typing the name of the team member to see a list of 1st-degree connections. You can select a connection from this list. The connection will be notified that you've added them. They'll have the opportunity to add the project to their profile by following the steps above. If you remove the project after they've added it, it will remain on their profile and vice versa. If your team member isn't on LinkedIn, you can still type their name to add them to the project. You cannot edit the Team Member section of a project on someone else's profile. If you'd like to remove yourself, you'll need to reach out to that person and ask them to remove you.   • 13. Continue…  One person doesn't add the project for everyone. Each project is      independently created by each member. The flow is: 1. Member creates project and adds connections. 2. Added connections receive inbox notifications prompting them to add the project to their profile. 3. Member creates what is technically a new project on their profile, manually, and manually adds connections to it. These may or may not be the same people the first person added. Removing a member from the person who first created the project doesn't subsequently remove it from the others, since they were independently created. Additional information: If any team member breaks connection then member will not be able to edit the project.   • 15. BYNNSI  If you see your profile photo in the top right corner of a LinkedIn page, it means you're already signed in to your account. I believe what you're seeing is a feature at the top of your homepage http://www.linkedin.com/home that helps you import your email address book and invite people to join your network. The feature is usually titled "See Who You Already Know on LinkedIn" or "Quickly grow your professional network.“  You can remove this feature from your homepage once you have 20 connections. All you need to do is click the "X" that will appear in the top right corner of the feature.   • 17. Uploading contacts via CS Tool  Uploading CSV file via CS Tool shows the contacts are inserted and number of contacts are displaying under address book in CS Tool: Total contacts. But when we log in to our account we cannot find those imported contacts to send them invites.  Which format of CSV is taken by outlook import function because if you edit a CSV file after importing from outlook so that it should be in line with the instructions present in "fc" hotkey then while uploading it says "error file is not compatible"? Workaround : Import Contacts  CS tool it says good to go but when we importing the same file via account by going to Network>>contacts>>settings>>Outlook Contacts CSV same file gives error that it is not compatible outlook csv file.  Click on Add connections>>Other>>Upload contacts file This option works perfectly according to instructions of fc hotkey) only thing is via this option I have to send invites in order to add them as contacts. Could not add them as contacts and later on send invites tested with csv file have 2 contacts on own account  The invite screen can only be found when you upload a file. It cannot be accessed later.
