What have you learnt from technologies from constructing this product
1. What have you learnt from
technologies from constructing the
product?
2. Final Cut
• Final Cut allows us to edit our footage quickly,
efficiently and to precision. It allows us to add
effects to our footage which would be a lot
harder to shoot on camera, for example, color
correction. Also, Final Cut allows us to use
transitions such as Fade, Wipe and lets us use
the split screen feature.
3.
4. Final Cut
• Before editing software on the computer was
created, Editors would literally cut footage and
sellotape them back together.
• There was no such thing as fades, wipes and
dissolves and the audience solely focused on
the footage itself.
• I believe that editing was a lot harder before
software like Final Cut was designed.
5. Final Cut
• What i have learnt during the development of
this product is how to better use filters like
colour corrections, and fades and transitions.
• Before we started this thriller project i did not
know how to use colour correction, But after a
brief tutorial, I learnt the benefits from it. I
used colour correction in a couple of shots
because we shot on separate days and the
lighting was different.
6. GarageBand
• GarageBand is used to create music from
different sounds. We used it to create a
original score for our Thriller opening.
• GarageBand contains many different from
different instruments, such as piano, guitar
and even electronic sounds.
8. GarageBand
• What I learnt about GarageBand in the
duration it took to create this project was that
you could upload your footage onto
Garagebandwhilst creating the score, meaning
a more accurate positioning of specific sounds
and overall track.
9. The Cameras
• During the time it took to create the project, i
learnt a lot about how to use the camera in
different ways to create different
atmospheres. For example, Handheld footage
creates a atmosphere of chaos, and filming at
a canted angle, gives the audience an idea
that its a POV shot.
