3. NASSG Core Objectives
• Founded a couple of months ago
• To create awareness about the potential of serious games and
simulations to help solve large scale learning and training
challenges
• To create and facilitate a community of stakeholders actively
engaged in raising awareness and extending the state of art
• To promote programs that build talent in this space
• To provide a mechanism to formally interact, both within the
community and across communities, nationally and
internationally
4.
5. State of Art
• There is interest in all modes of serious gaming and simulation
based training
• However, there is a deep lack of appreciation of what these
modes of learning can provide
• Industry is not too developed yet, however we can see a
change happening
• A few select very high end companies are starting to lead the
change and are bringing in cutting edge special expertise
• Investments in the Serious Gaming industry have started to
look up
• Our hope that associations like NASSG can play a pivotal role
• Especially in persuading the government to look at building
scalable and effective mechanisms from authoring to deployment
