UNIQUE PRIVILEGES
“Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself.”
(Ephesians 1:5)

I n Forever Young: Dennis’s Friendship with John F. Kennedy, Jr., Billy Noonan
recalls the life experiences he shared with the son of President John Kennedy.
In 1980, as one of the stories goes, John Jr. and Billy were invited aboard the USS John
F. Kennedy aircraft carrier. On a guided tour of the ship, the two young men and their guide
inadvertently entered a restricted area. When an officer stopped them, the guide pointed to
John and said, “This is his father’s ship.” Snapping to attention, the officer saluted John. He
explained his understanding that when a US Navy ship is named for someone, it is
considered that person’s ship. Thus, as the son of the man for whom the ship was named,
John Jr. had unique privileges.
This illustrates a vital spiritual principle. As adopted children in God’s family, we who
have been saved possess the position of son-ship. Paul wrote that as believers we are

son-ship, we have the unique privileges that belong to the children of the King of kings.

To begin our prayer time together, we ask you to repeat this prayer with us each day...

pray that the enemy’s plans and purposes be destroyed.”

people are suffering – spiritually, emotionally, and physically – let
us stand before our Mighty God today on their behalf!

7. Greens In Your Diet (…contd)
The beta-carotene pigment in yellow-orange vegetables was already
known for its beneficial properties against eye diseases. Recent studies have
shown that the phytonutrients (carotenoids: lutein and zeaxanthin) in dark
GLVs are concentrated in the eye lens and macular region of the Retina and
play a protective role in the eye. They protect against both cataract and age-
related macular degeneration, the major cause of blindness in the elderly.
Studies have suggested that lutein and zeaxanthin may help reduce the risk of
certain types of cancer, such as breast and lung cancer, and may contribute to
the prevention of heart disease and Stroke.

Fiber and the presence of various phytonutrients like carotenoids and
flavanoids and other powerful antioxidants make GLVS cancer-protective
properties. Studies have reported that eating 3 or more servings a week of
GLVs significantly reduced the risk of stomach cancer. Cabbage, cauliflower
and broccoli are rich in indoles and isothiocyanates, which protect us against
colon and other cancers. A higher consumption of GLVs has been shown to
significantly decrease the risk of breast cancer and skin cancer. Quercetin is a
bioflavonoid found in GLVs and has an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory
activity and displays unique anticancer properties.

Brain functioning should be another good reason one should consider
eating more green vegetables. New studies show that adequate consumption
of GLVs can help prevent you from developing sicknesses like Alzheimer's
and a variety of other illnesses.

Cooking GLVs
The ideal way of using GLVs is by eating them raw (salads). If cooking is
essential, quick cooking is ideal with minimum water. Never cook GLVs more
than 5 min. Cooking greens quickly will help preserve their color as well as
their nutrients. As a significant percentage of the nutrient content of greens is
released into the liquid as they cook, use the cooking liquid from greens in a
sauce or add it to a soup.

In the name of Jesus and in agreement with the Word, I command sickness to go. I
command disease and bondage to go in Jesus mighty name. Father, by the power of the
Holy Spirit, I pray that the anointing for healing will be released right now in Jesus’ name
and that from this moment on healing, restoration and health will come to these peoples
listed above. This I pray in Jesus wonderful and glorious name. Amen.
