1. Implementing Insight 360 Cloud: Information and
Assistance
At eInstruction by Turning Technologies, we’re committed to education, including assisting our customers
in learning our products inside and out for effective implementation. Our dedication to providing
advanced products and an excellent customer experience has garnered a loyal customer base that views
our company as a partner rather than a vender. eInstruction by Turning Technologies readily elicits
customer feedback, taking it into consideration during the development process to create the best
products specifically designed with customers in mind. For those customers seeking a mobile response
option, please review the below details and information regarding our Insight 360 Cloud solution while
making a decision that best fits your particular environment.
10 Items to Consider
Purpose of Use: Will the teacher be collecting responses that are critical to the success of the
student, such as attendance or participation points? What type of
assessments: formative, summative, benchmarking, etc.?
Policies: Due to the nature of Insight 360 Cloud as a mobile device tool, it may be
necessary to review acceptable use policies if a BYOD policy will be
implemented simultaneously.
Implementation Plan: Ensuring that all those impacted by a new mobile initiative such as IT staff,
trainers, teachers, etc. will help prepare for an easy implementation.
eInstruction by Turning Technologies can assist with implementation efforts
and plans.
Power Management: Students may arrive at class to discover low battery power, in which devices
will automatically shut off during class and unable to respond to Insight 360
Cloud questions. Having clickers readily available so that students can easily
respond with clickers when power is low is recommended.
IT Staff: IT departments are tasked with managing large and complex infrastructures,
often utilizing limited resources. However, the involvement of the IT
department in planning, implementing and supporting Insight 360 Cloud is
important. Discussing the availability of IT assistance is advised.
Students: Most Insight 360 Cloud implementations involve use of personal student
devices. According to recent students, a majority of K-12 students have
access to web-enabled devices, including the following:
Students with Access to Tablets:
ď‚· 41% of Grades K-2
ď‚· 58% of Grades 3-5
2. ď‚· 61% of Grades 6-8
ď‚· 50% of Grades 9-12
Students with Access to Laptops:
ď‚· 41% of Grades K-2
ď‚· 62% of Grades 3-5
ď‚· 66% of Grades 6-8
ď‚· 66% of Grades 9-12
It is important to have accommodations for those that do not. Additionally,
alerting students to the use of a cellular connection for responding may
impact data plan charges. For Insight 360 Cloud Mobile Edition, Student App
and Web Access requirements must also be taken into consideration.
With the assistance of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC)
Congressionally-mandated E-rate program, 99% of America’s K-12 public
schools and libraries are connected to the Internet today. Soon, schools and
libraries across the nation will be updating with high-speed broadband and
ubiquitous Wi-Fi through the ConnectED initiative, established in June 2013
with a goal to connect 99% of students to high-speed broadband within five
years. Discover the current infrastructure of your community using the
resources below.

Bandwidth: Consultation with a Technical Sales Engineer is recommended to ensure that
bandwidth is adequate to facilitate Insight 360 Cloud sessions. Various factors
affect the overall capacity of the connection including number of users,
question types asked and current infrastructure systems. Recommendations
for bandwidth to support common Insight 360 Cloud uses within classrooms
and buildings can be made pre-sale.
Access Points: Enterprise class (managed) wireless networks with controllers are
recommended to support Insight 360 Cloud. Adding access points requires
expertise in order to determine whether you have implemented for coverage
or capacity.
Data Limits: Access points should be centrally managed using solutions that can control
data limits as well as data types. Understanding if there are data limit
restrictions either by volume (per person usage) or data type before you start
an Insight 360 Cloud session.
3. How We Can Help
Environment: Environmental interferences can range from types of buildings, location of cell
towers, excess of access points, number of Bluetooth devices, density of
people in a room, etc., which can impact Wi-Fi performance. We can assist
with coordination in order to optimize your current environment.
Site Analysis: eInstruction by Turning Technologies has a team of experts that can assist
with a site analysis in order to determine the compatibility of Insight 360
Cloud with your current network infrastructure. We have tools available that
can provide a detailed analysis, allowing for an informed decision. Pre-sale,
our team will pilot and fully implement Insight 360 Cloud in one classroom to
ensure user expectations are met.
Trusted Partners: eInstruction by Turning Technologies already partners with trusted
Educational Consultants and Resellers to help with any infrastructure
concerns regarding both networks and power sources.
Options: eInstruction by Turning Technologies offers flexibility in building a solution
that is a good fit for your environment. Offering schools the choice of utilizing
either a clicker or Insight 360 Cloud Student App/Web Access that are
interchangeable provides an affordable solution to ensure infrastructure
issues will not impact student success.

believes in complete transparency in order to ensure proper implementation
of our solutions. We encourage the use of our resources to determine if
Insight 360 Cloud is a viable solution for your environment. We welcome
