2. Analyze the Learner
I will be teaching a group of small-town
West Virginian high school seniors about
World War I.
The class is made up of 9 boys and 11 girls.
The entire class is white.
3. Main Objective
My class will articulate key points and
information about the history of World
War I through Powerpoint and class
discussions, watching Youtube videos,
posting on Blogger, and creating and
presenting a World War I themed
robot and poster with a group by the
end of the week with 80% accuracy.
4. Day-by-Day
Monday- Create groups, go over poster and bots assignment instructions using
Smartboard, talk about origins of WWI through class discussion and Youtube
video. A tweet will be sent out about podcast on Facebook for absent students.
Homework: post a paragraph on Blogger summarizing the origins of World War I
and any questions about the bots/poster assignment.
Tuesday- Powerpoint on World War I, go over Zello, begin working on the project
in groups. Homework on Blogger to summarize World War I.
Wednesday- Youtube video and additional information from Wikispace page
while students continue work on their bots/posters. A Blogger post will be
assigned for students to give a progress report on what they’ve done so far and
what’s left to do.
Thursday- Work continues on bots/posters, questions/discussions during. Final
Blogger post to reflect upon the unit and the project as a whole.
Friday- Groups will present their projects and receive their grades by the end of
the class.
