MGE has installed 26 electric vehicle charging stations at 16 locations around Madison funded in part by a US DOE grant. They are monitoring usage patterns of the public stations and attitudes of drivers. Over 1,800 charging sessions have occurred at the stations, providing over 8,000 kWh of energy. MGE will continue analyzing data, test at-home charging rates, recommend rates for home and public charging, and provide customer support to stakeholders in electric vehicles.
