a handful of new CRM features.

New design. No left side
navigation. All “Areas” such
as Sales, Service, Settings
are hidden at the top. Pop
up windows are practically
eliminated.
Click on the Microsoft Dynamics
CRM to unhide the Areas. Each
“Area” has its own default
dashboard.
(I added a new Area to the SiteMap called “UX Online”)
Quick Create is a new
feature. You can assign
which entities can have a
quick create.
For example, click on
Accounts under Quick
Create and you can
quickly enter in a new
Account record.
Under each Area are the
entities for that area.
Accounts View with the chart area expanded.
Notice that there is no longer a large toolbar/ribbon.
The ribbon shows the first 5 items - the rest are hidden under the

Account record. Accounts and
Contacts can have
images, Bing map
integration, and new “contact
card” that pulls in the Primary
Contact phone, email to the
Account.
Contact record with
image.
Click on Full Name to edit
the Full name details
(first, middle, last name).
Same with Address. Click
on address to edit the
street, city, etc.
Contact’s associated records are
also hidden at the top. These
used to be on the left side
navigation.
Contact’s Activities
Recently viewed records
are also accessible at the
top and seem easier to
get to.
New Microsoft Mobile
App for CRM for
Windows 8 and iPad
Swipe left and right
shows more information.
Very smooth and easy to
use. There is also the
ability to “pin” records to
your dashboard.
Mobile App is for the
Sales Area and Custom
Entities. The fly out side
menu shows the available
entities associated to the
Sales Area.
Swipe up from the bottom
to show common tasks.
Select System Views
or My Views
Account record. Swipe
right to show all the
“tabs” of the record.
Attach photos directly
from your mobile device
to a CRM note.
Open photos from a CRM
note on your device –
then save to your device.
Other new features for
power users and
administrators
Updated Workflows now
include new options for
“Action” and Business
Process Flow”
Here is an “Action”
Workflows can run
real time or ”in the
background”.
Business process flow
Form Editor has a new
button called “Business
Rules”. You can create
your own business rules
similar to creating
JavaScript.
Add a Bing Map.
Quick View Form.
Business Rule Editor.
It creates JavaScript
automagically.
In the following
example, the condition is
if Country equals US. If
so, set the Price Level to
“US Member”. The
JavaScript is created by
the system so you don’t
have to.
Under Form
Properties, you can allow
a Form to store an
associated image.
User Personal Options have
been updated to include a
role based default page
when a user opens CRM or
the user can select their
own start page.
As you can see, System
Settings have more
features.
Lots more features for
Email integration too.
