Telemarketeer, 10/2013 to 01/2014
DialAmerica – Clearwater, Florida
Cold calling clients to sell an excellent line of periodicals, for the benefit of deserving organizations. One of these
organizations was Mothers Against Drunk Driving. A very worthwhile organization I was happy to be involved
with. I was able to use my communication skills, and pleasant demeanor to good use. However, the push for closing
the sale, is not a part of my dynamic. No problem having people engage with me, but I found pressure sales are not
for me. Customer service is more to my liking.
Receptionist, 03/2015 to Current
AARP SCSEP – Saint Petersburg, FL
Receptionist position, requiring me to greet clients and direct them to the kiosk to sign in. If they need help signing
in, or help with the application necessary to be directed to the correct office. I also complete assignments as given
by the department head. Some of which require the use of excel, which I am studying at St Petersburg College,
presently. I possess basic computer skills, but realize the benefit of taking skill courses.
Heavy Equipment Operator, 05/2006 to 03/2007
Veolia LLC – Saint Petersburg, FL
I operated a Caterpillar 950, Telescopic Forklift Truck, Bobcat, and Stationary Crane. I was also charged with
conveyer belt maintenance, as well as the general labor of plant operations. Added the benefit of some working
knowledge of electrical maintenance to keep certain machines operating. Also the monitoring of assigned areas for
the purpose of ensuring the operational aspects of the plant were successful.
Supervisor, 09/1992 to 05/2006
Resource Recycling LLC – Saint Petersburg, FL
I was hired over the labor day weekend from a temporary service. My employer liked my desire to work, and said
"anyone willing to work the labor day weekend in this heat deserves a job." So I began as a laborer and worked my
way up, from minimum wage to $14.65. Unfortunately the contract with Pinellas County had run its course, and
was not renewed. I was responsible for plant safety, including training, testing, equipment safety as well as
certification. It was also necessary for me to order and inspect safety equipment, as well keeping that equipment
current. Inventory control from nuts and bolts to larger purchases and rentals of thousands of dollars. Also the
maintaining of bidding for items critical to the operation. Maintaining a position of team leader, and assisted in
scheduling of employees.
