productivity and communication. Too often, this pushes existing tools,
processes, and schedules to the breaking point. This year’s State of
Enterprise Work Report from Workfront, the leading provider of work
management solutions for enterprises, set out to identify the drivers
behind and the results of this work chaos. Here are the 7 biggest
revelations from this year’s study…
3. Finding #1: The vast majority of office workers think highly of their
own productivity; they’re less sure about their co-workers.
4. We asked office workers:
“How would you rate the following groups overall with regard to
their productivity?”
81% rated themselves high in productivity compared to their co-
workers, managers, leaders, and direct reports
63% rated their direct reports the same
53% rated their managers comparably
6. As in our 2014 study, we asked office workers:
“Which of the following is the most common source of conflict with other
departments/teams/groups/teams?”
10% didn’t experience conflict with any department/group/team
From 2014 to 2015, the percentage of office workers who experience conflict with any
other group increased from 80% to 90%
8. We asked 90% of office workers experiencing conflict:
“Where does your conflict with other departments/groups/teams
come from?”
1/3 blame conflict on poor communication
22% blame conflicting priorities
6% blame personality/cultural differences
