3. Call to Worship
We come faithfully to worship God,
butthere’sapartof allof usthatdoubts,
4. That wonders, “Are you really there?
Are you really listening?
Can we really trust you?”
Yet, we live in a world where we can’t
live without you.
5. Give us an assurance of what we
cannot always see,
a conviction of hope through the
abiding presence of your Spirit.
6. Confession and Absolution
In the name of the
Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. Amen.
Before God and in the
company of our sisters
and brothers, let us
confess our sin.
Creator God who renews
all things,
7. Have mercy on us. We
confess that we have ignored
your call to love our
neighbor.
We have created our own
gospel instead of trusting
your words of promise, and
we have let go of our call to
do your work. We are truly
sorry, and humbly repent.
8. In your compassion,
forgive us of our sins
those we know, and those
that are hidden to us
Renew us in your presence
to new life,
through Christ Jesus,
Amen.
9. Sisters and brothers,
by the command of Christ,
your sins are forgiven.
Now walk in joy with
the Father who shows us
unmeasurable grace,
the Son who opens his arms
in love, and the Spirit who
guides our lives.
Amen.
11. Come, all you people,
come and praise the Most High;
Come, all you people,
come and praise the Most High;
Come, all you people,
come and praise the Most High;
Come now and worship
the Lord.
12. Come, all you people,
come and praise the Savior;
Come, all you people,
come and praise the Savior;
Come, all you people,
come and praise the Savior;
Come now and worship
the Lord.
13. Come, all you people,
come and praise the Spirit;
Come, all you people,
come and praise the Spirit;
Come, all you people,
come and praise the Spirit;
Come now and worship
the Lord.

Of children.

34. Blessing of the Quilts
Pastor: We thank you for the many gifts you
have bestowed upon us and now ask you to
bless the work of our hands
All: Lord, we know that these gifts alone are
only ordinary things – fabric and thread, but
through your power and love they become
extraordinary. Bless these gifts we lay before
you, that they would not be from our own
hearts and hands, but from yours.
35. All: Let each quilt be your unfailing arms
of comfort and your trusted means of
hope; assurance to those who
despair, and light to those who live in
darkness.
Pastor: Bless these gifts Lord and the
work of the Lutheran World relief in
answering your call to do justice, love
and kindness, and walk humbly wit you.
In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ we
ask these things.
All: Amen
38. Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heav'n, to earth come down!
Fix in us thy humble dwelling,
all thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, thou art all compassion,
pure, unbounded love thou art;
visit us with thy salvation,
enter ev'ry trembling heart.
39. Breathe, oh, breath thy loving Spirit
into ev'ry troubled breast;
let us all in thee inherit;
let us find thy promised rest.
Take away the love of sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
end of faith, as its beginning,
set our hearts at liberty.
40. Come, Almighty, to deliver;
let us all thy life receive;
suddenly return, and never,
nevermore thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
serve thee as thy hosts above,
pray, and praise thee without ceasing,
glory in thy perfect love.
41. Finish then thy new creation,
pure and spotless let us be;
let us see thy great salvation
perfectly restored in thee!
Changed from glory into glory,
till in heav'n we take our place,
till we cast our crowns before thee,
lost in wonder, love, and praise.
42. Affirmation of Faith
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven
and earth.
ELW p. 105
43. I believe in Jesus Christ,
God’s only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived
by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under
Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died,
and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
44. On the third day
he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated
at the right hand
of the Father,
and he will come
to judge the living
and the dead.
45. I believe in
the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection
of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
