The Youth on Board program places high school students on the boards of local non-profits and governments to provide a youth perspective and promote volunteerism. Students serve a one-year term, attend board meetings and participate in committees or projects, while also receiving training and mentoring. Qualified students are current sophomores or juniors living in Howard County with leadership experience. Participating boards must be non-profits or governments committed to youth engagement. The program costs nothing for students or boards.
