1. NBS already announced and initiated work on the
establishment of constructed wetland for wastewater treatment
of QAU hostels (Cost 4.5 million)
2. NBS also provided furniture for an office and intended to
provide some lab equipment for initiating Bio-tech lab
3. Development of irrigation system for effective utilization of
biologically treated waste water for agriculture
4. Introduction of Integrated farming system to generate income
for meeting running expenses and executing research trials
5. Wastewater treatment related research initiatives with QAU
researchers

– Objective 2 “Establishment of Resource Centre for QAU Bio-
Technology Park”
Activities
1. Introduction of indigenous agro-cottage industries for
further research and income generation for the
meeting the recurring costs and establishment of
further research facilities
2. Involving research scholars and professionals for
further improvements and replication in rural areas
3. Associating social scientists and non profit NGOs
sector for replicating improved technologies in rural
areas

4. The technologies include: Honey Bee keeping, Mushroom
cultivation, Vermi-composting, Bio-composting, Organic
fertilizers formulation and other Bio-products like Humic
Acid etc., Organic orchard and Organic Kitchen gardening
like vegetables, herbs and flowers
