DESCRIPTION OF COURSE
This course is a prequisite subject.
It is a two-credits. It is one of the English
skills and students must take this as basic skill
in academic writing
GOAL OF COURSE
In the last of meeting this course the students expected
knowing the basic rules of paragraph organization,
language rules, form and writing process.
BASIC COMPETENCY
1. Students are able to write a paragraph about
people
2. Students are able to understand a time order
paragraph and time order transition signals
3. Students are able to write good description of
people and things by applying clustering technique
4. MIDLE TEST
5. students understand three parts of a paragraph,
the formation of adverb, students understand run
on sentences and fixing them
BASIC COMPETENCY
6. Students understand three parts of a paragraph
7. Students understand the formation of adverb
8. Students understand run on sentences and fixing
them
9. Students understand reasons and examples to
support your reasons
BASIC COMPETENCY
10. Students understand transitional signals with
reasons
11. Students understand transitional with examples
12. Students understand independent and
dependent clauses
13. Students understand more about punctuation
and capitalization
14. Students understand how to write a letter
FUNDAMENTAL DISCUSSION

1. Paragraph form
2. Time order paragraphs
3. Descriptions
4. The three parts of a paragraph
5. Simple, compound and complex sentences
6. Commas: four more rules, capitalization two
more rules
7. Review Unit 1 – unit 5
METHOD AND
                REQUIREMENT
 The students in this class should be actively involved
  in the learning process, inside and outside the
  classroom.
 The Lecturer will give three steps:
   A. Pre-test
   B. Treatment
   C. Post-Test
EVALUATION
 Each students will be assessed on the basis of his/her
  performance on the following:
1. Assignment
2. Middle Semester Test
3. Final Semester Test
4. Class Participation and Presentation

            More than 5 times absences without
         permission you will failed your subject.
CRITERION ASSESMENT
 Assessment done is during study process, seminar, and duty.

        80-100                   A                VERY GOOD
         70-79                   B                   GOOD
         60-69                   C                  ENOUGH
