I am currently a senior studying international business with a concentration in finance at Bryant
University and am writing to apply for the position at your firm. I am pursuing a career in finance and
believe that the high level of involvement and responsibility given to this position will be a great way to
develop my skills and understanding of the industry. I believe the position will provide an excellent

At Bryant University I have challenged myself within the finance department in a variety of ways one
being a recent participant of the Business Strategy Game (BSG) simulation. The simulation enhanced my
managerial skills as well as enlightened me about the crucial decisions mangers need to make in order to
compete with its competitors. However,a large portion of my success has branched from my
commitments outside the classroom. I am the captain of the men’s Division I tennis team where I have
been able to acquire countless leadership skills as well as facing a variety of immeasurable challenges on
and off the court. These traits have allowed me obtain strong leadership skills, the ability to work
efficiently and effectively within a group environment, and complete tasks well in advance of a given
deadline. I feelthat this position with your firm could be the next step in developing these particular traits
along with my experience.
My core interest in joining your firm’s branches from its remarkable reputation and encouraging working
environment. I have met many of the specified qualifications defined for this position through a
challenging finance curriculum. Through this curriculum I have gained experience in financial modeling,
numerous valuation methods, and practices in financial statement analysis which entailed researching,
regulating, and forecasting financial statements. My desire to excelwithin my studies has led me to
achieve the Dean’s List in five of my six semesters of study.
