2. • First I went and imported just the name of
my magazine from photoshop into
indesign because indesign didn’t have the
same font.
3. • Then I added the words ‘this week’ in caps lock, made the spacing close
and tilted it a bit.
4. • Then underneath I created a large thin text box and wrote the
date and year in and made the text sit in the top right corner, I
left the box large and filled it black for effect as it breaks the
title from the text that will follow
5. • Then I made a large red text box, and put it
in line with the black text box, however I
made sure it didn’t touch the outline or
anything else, I typed ‘band index’ and made
the letters wide and on two lines and
centered.
6. • Then I wrote a list of Indie/rock bands in
alphabetical order including some I made up.
7. • I then put it into the red box, ensuring I had
enough bands so the whole box Is full and
added page numbers in white, I even added
two page numbers to some so it looks like
there is a lot of information in the magazine.
8. • Then I added 5 headings on the right all the
same length but different gaps apart, to make
these I copied and pasted the text box with the
date in and made it smaller and put the text in
the top left.
9. • Then I added subheadings of information,
the amount of subheading depended on
how much space I allowed for each
section. I made the page number red to
contrast and stand out and put the
subheadings in caps lock.
10. • Then I added this at the bottom of my contents, also using red page numbers
11. • Then I added my text that I had written for my contents page, it
is all lower case and some of the information has questions,
some have puns and some have specific use of good punctuation
so lots of techniques are used.
12. • Then I added three red arrows in line from which I edited on
photoshop pointing at specific information
13. • Then I added the word new! Into them in cpas and in yellow for contrast.
14. • Then I imported my image for this which I took
at a recent concert and made it half of the page.
15. • Then I added 3 separate pieces of information in 3 different colours. And tilited
some of the information
16. • Then I imported another image underneath which wasn’t
as big
17. • Then I added a heading and page number underneath
18. • Then I added the text I had already wrote underneath in black.
19. • Then I imported this from google as the base of the subscription box I was
making
20. • In the next few slides you will see me adding text to make my subscription box, I did things like change the
colour of the text for contrast and add a border on the text to make it thicker.

22.
23.
24.
25. • For the last line I had to make the spacing really close so it all fit in but it made it look
effective as usual subscription boxes look like this.
