3. Where and When did the battle take place? The battle took place about 80 km northeast from Paris, France. It took place in the Aisne-Marne Sector. This battle took place on July 18, 1918.
6. What is the significance of this battle? In the Battle of Marne, the Allies had managed to stop the German troops from invading the Western Front. General Ludendorff announced their defeat on September 29, 1919. The German leaders soon asked for peace but was denied the opportunity because of their type of government.
