More than Just Lines on a Map: Best Practices for U.S Bike Routes
Costume, Setting, Props & Location
1. An Account of Costume, Setting,
Props & Location
The presentation is going to be laidout by order of production schedule
2. Day 1 • For this day we’re going to film our first verse
@Bridgewater Street, Barbican. We chose to
film here because the side streets are discreet
which conveys the idea of the girls hiding from
the public. This will take place at anytime in
the morning/afternoon. The girls will wear
skirts and loose shirts and worn-out make-up,
connoting their rough-feeling. Props will
include high-heels in hand, reinforcing that
each member is tired
3. Day 2 • We’re going to film the second verse @ Dionne’s
house. The concept for this scene is to convey the
ordinary lifestyle the women lead at home,
they’re recovering from their long night out Each member’s doing a different activity (e.g.
Anca eating breakfast). The girls will be in casual
wear (leggings, vest, etc.). We’re trying to
incorporate white into this scene to connote the
harmony held at home. We also use social IM app
‘WhatsApp’ to display technological synergy – the
girls will text each other on their cellular devices)
4. Day 3 • We’re going to film the third verse back at the
Barbican. The girls are jumping back into the club, this
time feeling empowered. We want to convey their walk
to a club via Bridgewater Street. We saw a colourful
building which we can use contrary to our
monochrome colour-scheme, this could connote
personality. Personally, I thought we could film on the
high-street because the lively-setting will make for a
greater vibe. However we need to consider that it will
be crowded and the camera’s under risk of theft. The
girls will wear high-heels, dresses and fresh, bright,
loud make-up, conveying their re-birth.
