UBM is a proposed free weekly magazine that focuses on RnB and hip hop music. It aims to attract readers in their early 20s to mid 30s, especially those who enjoy both genres but may not want to spend much on magazines. The magazine will stand out by mixing RnB and hip hop content, and including exclusive weekly interviews and quizzes to interact with readers. It will have a black cover with a red logo to create a unique and eye-catching design.

2. UBM
• Upbeat music is basically a mix of hip hop and RnB so that is the basis
of my magazine. I came up with the name of upbeat music as RnB and
hip hop give people a kind of buzz and excitement. I then decided to
shorten the name into an abbreviation so I went for UBM.

3. Audience
• My audience is mainly for people starting in their early twenties to
their mid 30’s which is the fastest growing age group in the UK
• Secondly the magazine will be aimed at people who like RnB and hip
hop music
• And finally my audience is people who may not like to spend to much
on a magazine as this will be a free sheet and RnB isn’t as popular so I
want to bring it back into a popular genre.

4. What makes my magazine special?
• Well firstly since it is a free sheet it should get more customers and
will be a weekly magazine for those who get bored quickly from
reading one thing.
• Secondly it will be a mixed genre consisting of RnB and hip hop which
will give me a wider target audience for people who like both genres.
• Finally my magazine will have exclusive weekly interviews and quiz’s
inside this magazine to make this magazine more interesting and
more interactive.

5. Colour scheme
• My magazine will be a black cover with a red logo.
• As you can see it is unique and I doubt you would
Seen it before. I have also chosen a black cover as I got the idea for Q
magazine as that I was researching and it goes really well with red.
