 YouTube has devoted 30 – 40% of their
 website for the promotion of education.

Some  universities in Pakistan are
 famous for educational broadcasting.
VU and AIOU.
Have their own radio and TV
 channels.
 Established   in 1974,
 Providing educational opportunities to
  those who couldn't leave their homes and
  jobs.
 Fulfills shortage of educational and
  technical opportunities,
 For lower middle class and poorer class.
 In2007/08 more than 1 million students
  enrolled,
 More than 50% of whom were females,
 And 58% were students from rural areas.

 Textbooks  and reading material prepared
  on self-learning basis,

  programs for 144 courses.

 Regular access to laboratories,
 Evening and weekend classes are offered.
 Itutilizes Satellite and Internet.
 Started at AIOU in 2000.
 Web-based management and delivery of
  courses.
 A not-for-profituniversity under the
  Government of Pakistan,
 Aims to overcome the acute shortage of
  qualified faculty,
 University uses a blend of free-to-air
  television broadcasts, the Internet and
  multimedia technologies.
 Currently,  17 degree programs are offered,
 More than a 100 campuses located in 60
  cities of the country,
 Enrollment has increased from 1,095
  students in 2004 to close to 50,000 in
  2009
Pakistan   contains about 30,000
 villages.
Requires a minimum of 90,000
 teachers.
Education should be broadcasted.

  • 6.  A powerful mass medium used in education.  Serves with equal ease in both developing and developed countries.  Saving money, time, energy, and manpower.  Carry the message to any place on the earth.  A blind man’s medium and is meant for ears only.

  • 11. Some universities in Pakistan are famous for educational broadcasting. VU and AIOU. Have their own radio and TV channels.
  • 12.  Established in 1974,  Providing educational opportunities to those who couldn't leave their homes and jobs.  Fulfills shortage of educational and technical opportunities,  For lower middle class and poorer class.
