Editor's Notes
Manage the Studio Helped design the new space 1:1 appointments Internal video & media projects
Studied Visual Communication Design Lots of Audio production experience Experience with video production & editing Apple retail and instructional experience Always a computer guy
Know who you ’ re serving before you decide on equipment It ’ s about learning, so you don ’ t necessarily need the best equipment
Again, it ’ s all about learning You want users to feel good about the experience and come back If there ’ s too much of a barrier, users will get frustrated Design the space and the setup to be intuitive and friendly
You can do a lot with a little A lab can be made from a few extra computers and some open source software Even more advanced equipment and has really come down in price Make sure it will all work together, anticipate future equipment
Both are great options Mac provides the iLife suite, which more people are familiar with Windows is generally more cost effective Adobe software available on both Open source software available on both Work with IT Mix it up
You don ’ t need all these, but it gives you options How long will it last? How long will its capability be relevant?
