Quincy High School’s Art History class is a chronological survey of the history of major art
forms in the western tradition, in addition to selected works from many cultures that exist beyond
European tradition.
The text will be Gerald Brommer’s Discovering Art History. You can expect written
assignments as well as plenty of reading. Four graded assignments will be given every term including
papers, presentations, quizzes and tests. You’ll be taking notes weekly, so get a nice new notebook with a

nearby schools. See Mr. Bell or your guidance counselor for more information on Advanced Placement
examinations, and college credits for advanced placement students.
