TyE Carolinas Team C a r o l i n a s TiE Carolinas President: Sammy Haroon Sammy is on the Board of The RBR Group, an innovation management organization leveraging his methods of “Invention To Innovation” (I2I©) and “Accelerated Business Commercialization” (XBC©) delivering product innovation strategies in the energy, consumer products and technology sectors. He is President (2011-2012) of The Indus Entrepreneurs – Carolinas; TIE is the world’s largest non-profit entrepreneurial organization. Sammy is on the Board of Advisors at University of Oklahoma’s School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. He is a lecturer on “Rapid Product Innovation” at Georgia Institute of Technology where he received his Nuclear Engineering degree as well. TyE Chair: Jim VerdonikJim is an attorney in the Raleigh/Research Triangle office of Ward and Smith, PA. His legal career began in New York in 1977 with the international law firm, Fulbright & Jaworski. He has practiced in North Carolina since 1985. Mr. Verdonik's practice experience focuses on corporate and securities law, including both transactional and counseling work. His transactional work includes public and private securities offerings and syndications, venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate partnership transactions and technology licensing on behalf of both public and private companies. Mr. Verdonik has advised companies in more than a billion dollars of capital raising transactions . Jim Verdonik is a charter member of TiE Carolinas and will lead the TyE program for 2010. TyE Program Manager: Abhi Muthiyan Abhi is the co-founder, Chief Technology Officer, of Patagonia Health. At Patagonia Health, he is creating the next generation of Health IT applications for small practice physicians. Abhi Muthiyan is an unique combination of a technologist and a business person. At Symantec, he identified market gaps and revenue streams to develop products and features. As an architect and innovator, he holds patents in Storage Area Networking space. Abhi was the Program Manager for TyE 2009 and will continue to lead this program for year 2010. TyE Coordinator: Bindu Singh Bindu as a teacher and an employee of Wake County for the past eleven years, has the organizational skills and extensive experience in managing students. Her employment with Wake County has given her the experience to handle multiple ongoing tasks on a daily basis and work on a team setting with parents and students at all levels of academic achievement. She is also famous for her superfluous people skills, which she has acquired over the years by being an active member of several Indian organizations in the triangle area. Bindu was the Project Coordinator for TyE 2009 and will continue to work in this program for year 2010.
