2. How Old Are You? From my pie chart results, I was able to see what age group our target audience will be. The wide majority of people I asked ended up being aged 15-30 which is what I had hoped, as I will be aiming my film production at this age group.
3. What’s Your Occupation? From this pie chart results, I can see that most of the people who completed my questionnaire were students, although there are a wide variety of different occupations. This was also an advantage as my main target audience for my film is students.

5. What’s your preferred genre? By taking out this questionnaire I was able to spot what the most favoured genre was, from my pie results you can see that thriller is the most preferred genre, however romance and comedy are also highly rated. This has enabled me to pick a genre my film introduction will be based on.
6. What do you expect from your preferred genre? This question left the people I asked a lot of thinking to do, and referring to my previous question, ‘what's your preferred genre?’ and relating to ‘’thriller’’ a lot of the people that answered my questionnaire said they usually expect from a thriller things like “realism – ie. they expect the film to seem real and the events taking place really bring the audience in.’’ “Dull colours and scenes of dark places usually an abandoned house or a haunted school something like that”.. “I want to be on the edge of my seat worrying, I expect suspense and tension to make a good thriller, it’s all about being scared and excited at the same time” these were just a few of the things people said. My results enabled me to see a lot of different peoples views on thriller which relates to and will help me when planning my chosen genre thriller for are opening sequence.
7. What attracts you to certain films? From my Pie Chart results I found that the majority of the people that completed my questionnaire choose the films they would go watch depending on the Actors/ Actresses that would star in the film and also the story line itself.
8. If you had the choice, what Actors/ Actresses would you cast in a film? I allowed people to write freely as I know there are many talented actors/ Actresses and people have different views on what cast they would choose. Johnny Depp had many votes as well as Keira Knightly, these are two very talented Actors/ Actresses so I was not surprised when their names continuously came up. Many people said they did not mind who was in the film just as long as they could play a believable part.
9. What form of advertisement do you find the most powerful? From my pie chart results I found that within today's modern society I the word of mouth and billboards/ posters were the most powerful forms of advertisement with radio and adverts having no presents in forms of hearing about films
10. What do you like to see in the opening sequence to a film? This question was really to allow me to get some ideas of what attracts people to the opening sequence and what aspects really stand out to people. I left this question open so people could write freely about their opinions. As I’m sure people will have different views and elements that would catch their eye. This question and answers I got would influence me when planning my opening sequence , I found that there was a mixed response to this question and many ranged from ‘A dramatic scene, that will make me want to watch the rest of the film, ‘something that will stay in my mind throughout the film and might be referred to later on in the film’, ‘something that will keep me drawn to the film, and will really give me a thrill to make me want to carry on watching it, ’ to answers such as “A mellow opening, with a calm introduction, something to just set the scene and explain the story right At the beginning, introducing the characters and settings allowing me to understand the genre and storyline”. Over half of the people I asked really wanted and liked ‘a dramatic start that will draw them in right away’ and something to refer to later on in the film as to why? Or how? That happened.
11. Do you prefer Blockbuster films or Independent films? I found that most people I questioned preferred Blockbuster films to Independent films. Although when asked this question some people did not know what an Independent film was.
