2. School in the UK
The British school system is slightly different to the
Spanish.
We start school when we are 4 or 5.
There are 7 years of Primary School (Primary 1 to
Primary 7).
There are then 5 compulsory years of Secondary
School (Year 8 to Year 12).
Many students decide to study A Level Exams, and
these students study at school for another 2 years
(Year 13 and Year 14) or they go to a Sixth Form
Centre.
3. My School Experience
I went to Parkgate Primary School. It was
very small Primary School in a little country
village, where I lived at the time.
When I was 11 I went to a Grammar School
called Ballyclare High School, and I studied
there until I was 18 years old.

School begins at 9.15 am
Break time is from 11.00 am to 11.20 am
Lunchtime is from 1.00 pm to 1.40 pm
School finishes at 3.40 pm
