In the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2015, USCIS approved 40.9 percent of asylum applications of unaccompanied minors in deportation court. 1230 children were granted asylum and 1772 were denied.(All children are entitled to what is in effect a redetermination of their asylum claim by the immigration judge.)
