I would like to take my interest of playing music to the next level. I am fascinated by how music is produced, written and played. After playing guitar for many years i feel as though I am talented enough to take songs and make them my own. Also, i should use my skill to perform in front of an audience. \n
First you need to find a producer. Unless you have your own equipment, experience and skills. Under 5 minutes per track and 5 track demo. If a demo is too long, record companies wont take the time to listen to the whole thing. The mixing of the track means a lot to companies as well. Artist demos are meant to show how well the musician can sound or make themselves sound. Song demos give the musician a chance to show creativity and gain popularity. This type of demo would most likely need a professional producer to impress record companies. \n
It is alright to slack on some aspects of recording, but the vocals are the most important. They need to the most time to be perfected and also stand out more than other parts such as instrument tracks. A positive attitude is needed in the studio. Once a negative attitude is shown theres a large chance it will show in the music itself. Pressure is another factor that can greatly affect how the recording will turn out. Musicians are usually rushed in the studio due to the expenses of the studio.\n

Today the internet is the most common way to get noticed musically. It is easy and simple and a lot of people will be able to see it. Before the internet, most musicians werent heard until they played shows or had material on the radio. Becoming an indie musician can be beneficial. This means being independent and working for yourself. This is beneficial because running on your own time and rules is much easier than running on someone elses. There is no one to boss you around or limit your musical freedom\n

Explain notes for spaces and lines on the staff. Let students come up with their own sayings in order to memorize the order of the notes. \n
